Teacher Plans to Go Over the Edge

Some teachers take their job way too seriously.  Special Ed teacher Eno Usanga is definitely one of these types.  For the past few years, Usanga has literally gone over the edge, the edge of buildings that is.  In his own words he explains this.

“First, I want to thank those of you that supported me last year and the previous years,” he said in a recent email to his colleagues. “I accepted the challenge, again, to raise funds to support Special Olympics Texas. This organization is very important to me personally. As you know, I teach special needs students in the Life Skills class here at CHS. I have also coached Special Olympics soccer. Special Olympics Texas provides year round sports training and competitions for my Life Skills students and more than 53,446 individuals with intellectual disabilities across the state.“

As part of his fundraising effort, he will be rappelling down the side of the Embassy Suites, Downtown-Houston on November 14 and in Dallas on November 7. Usanga must raise his goal of $2,400 by November 5.  Interested in donating?  Mail donations to: Special Olympics Texas, 7715 Chevy Chase Dr., Suite 120, Austin, TX 78752 or give them to Usanga.

In addition, he asked that people come out to cheer him on.  He wants to see “everyone at the bottom.”
