Meet the 2020 Cuties
This Friday, September 20, the Stars dance team are hosting their annual male pageant: the Cuties competition. The 25 senior contestants were nominated by the student body and are competing to be the next Cutie. Tickets can still be bought today from any of the Stars for $8. Tickets will be $12 at the door.

“My mind is sharp because I have honed it. My thoughts are focused because I have trained them. My body is hardened because I have pushed it. I earned my strength with sweat and blood. I mastered pain because I chose to. I am not an athlete; I am a warrior. I have taken 23 years of martial arts. I will take up any challenge without fear. “Until a year and a half ago, I knew next to no one outside the class of ’19. I was overjoyed when I realized how many great friends I’ve been able to make since then.”

“I love Clements so much that, when faced with the option to graduate last May, I chose to stay back another year to try to give back to the campus. Whether or not you vote for me, I challenge you to join me in making the campus a friendlier, more encouraging environment!”

“How could I not be? I’ve been wanting to be a cutie for the last 4 years!”
What’s one thing that makes you stand out from the other contestants?
“I’ve gained business-level proficiency in a language that I didn’t speak a word of 4 years ago. Not only that- I built an entirely new life for myself in a foreign country and learned how to adapt and conform to an entirely new culture. Some say French is the most romantic language in the world, but 僕の日本語を聞いてみて、ね~!”

“It’s a great honor. I’ve been wanting to be a cutie for a long time.I’ve been watching cuties since I was a freshman. It’s a huge fundraiser for the dance team and I think it’s awesome.”

“I’m very excited i can’t wait to be out on stage in front of my classmates and my teachers and my fellow peers. I can’t wait to show them what I got.”
