Students reflect over holiday break

After a long and relaxed winter break, it is exciting to see what some of our students

participated in and the fun trips and activities that they did this past winter break. We asked some students what they did this break and what they enjoyed the most.

“This winter break I visited Austin, TX and Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, TX. On New Years, I went out to eat at Pax Americana with my family. For Christmas, my family and I enjoyed a family gift exchange that we do every Christmas. We also enjoyed making homemade cheesecake together.” Donovan Gionis, Junior

“This winter break I visited Austin. My family and I went mountain climbing, went to a garden, and saw peacocks. I don’t celebrate Christmas, but going on the scenic tour of Austin on New Year’s weekend was very interesting.” Sana Rehman, Senior

“I relaxed this break watching movies and spending time with my family. We went to Town Center on New Year’s Eve and saw the fireworks. We also went to Austin this break, and on Christmas, my family and I ate a Christmas dinner and had a secret santa exchange” Mona Mijim, Senior

“Over the Christmas holidays, we drove to Indiana for my brother’s college graduation, and we had a party with family and friends on Christmas. The best part of my break was on our car drive with my family” Sania Boghani, Sophomore

“Over the break I spent time with friends and family. We visited Philadelphia and I also attended the Student Council Winter Social. On New Year’s and Christmas, we ate dumplings and had a great time!” John Lin, Sophomore

“We drove to Leaky, Texas over the Winter Holiday where there was no cell reception and only a scenic outdoor setting.  We went camping by a river and hiked up the trail. On New Year’s we had a bonfire with s’mores. The most memorable part was my family and I suffering together up the steep hiking trail.” Ananya Hari, Sophomore
