Love what’s there
March 8, 2019
Nowadays, people are unsure of what is to come every single day. There is always a possibility of something so horrible, something unspeakable occuring in our world. Anywhere you go, you have no idea what may come. So, you must appreciate every single moment that you have and cherish every single person in your life.
Every day. Every hour. Every minute. No one knows what is to come in our future, so we have no other choice but to live every moment to the fullest. Appreciate the things people do for you. Cherish the memories you create each day. For each and every one of us, there is a possibility of anything. Things you never dreamed of are possible. Anything could happen, for good or for bad.
You send your kid to school. You kiss them goodbye, the last time you could ever be able to. As your mom leaves to work, you hug her and tell her you love her, possibly the final words she’ll ever hear. Think, the last time you talked to a loved one, what did you say? What did you do? Don’t prolong fights. Don’t let a fight become the last thing you ever have with someone. If that’s the last time you see them, the last thing to say to them, would you be satisfied?
You don’t know what’s going to happen five years from now, or even five seconds from now. You can’t control what happens to your loved ones, much like you can’t control what’ll happen to you. It’s for this exact reason why we can’t allow ourselves to be consumed in the possibilities of the future and we have to just face, feel, and accept the present because that’s all we have. You simply have to know that, no matter what, you still have now, and that just has to be enough.
So often, we take advantage of the people we love the most because have become so accustomed to them being there. But, those are the people that we need to make the most conscious effort to truly appreciate in our lives. Thank those who do the most for you. Embrace those you hold closest to you. Live every moment of life as if it may be your last. Hug your loved ones as if for the last time. The world is full of uncertainties; we live in a world of the unknown.
