CHS Earns Seven Distinctions with State

TEA recently released the school and district accountability ratings based on the Spring 2016 EOC/STAAR data. Once again, Clements earned all seven possible state distinctions.

“We are one of the few Texas high schools to accomplish this feat and the only FBISD high school to do so,” said David Yaffie, principal.

Fort Bend high schools in order of number of distinctions are:  Austin (6), Dulles (6), Elkins (4), Hightower (4), Kempner (4), Bush (2), Ridge Point (1), Travis (1), and Marshall (0).

The distinctions include Academic Achievement in:  ELA, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Student Progress, Closing Performance Gap, and Postsecondary Readiness.

Yaffie commented, “However, it is just one facet of what makes us a great school. Please keep one of our main goals (perhaps even our new “mission” or “vision”) at the forefront of your thinking and planning: We are striving to provide “modern and relevant” learning experiences for our students.”
