B.B. Italia and Ice
A new Bistro and Bar has come to Sugar Land, Houston. B.B. Italia recently opened in Town Center on November 8th. This Italian-American restaurant is a traditional, family-owned business based in Houston.
I decided to try the place for lunch one weekend. The interior was decorated with Italian and New York-styled designs. I really enjoyed the look and light opened up by large windows on the outside wall. My party and I were seated at a half-booth table near a window.
For my appetizer, I ordered garlic knots that came in a plate of six. They had fresh chopped garlic and basil leaves sprinkled onto the dish. The Parmesan and tomato sauce they included complemented each other well. For the price of $12, I thought it was well worth the money. For my entree, I ordered Shrimp Scampi. I typically order this pasta at Italian restaurants, so I am familiar with the taste. The pasta had a hint of lemon zest in it which was a nice touch to the garlic butter sauce. The pasta was a bit pricey sitting at $28, but the experience overall was enjoyable with good customer service.
My table was seated close to the Gelato section in the back of the restaurant. Naturally, I was tempted by the display of flavors especially considering it was Italian ice. I decided to get a strawberry gelato scoop and they served it to me in this nice bowl. I really enjoyed the sweet and creamy texture because those are my favorite types of strawberry ice creams.
B.B Italia is a fancy-like restaurant you can enjoy on your weekend at Town Center. I will definitely be going back to try more kinds of pasta and flavors of Italian Ice. I recommend it to anyone who wants to go out and dine at an aesthetic spot in Sugar Land.
