Live healthy, live better: advice from student athlete

The key to staying fit is being consistent. One example would be going to the gym every day even when the feeling isn’t wanted. Another way is to eat as healthy as possible. Eating fruits and vegetables are good, but it’s mostly about the protein. Protein after every workout is key to staying in shape. It rebuilds your muscles after they have been broken down from weights, running, or swimming. Getting enough sleep is key as well to rest the muscles and head.

Staying fit isn’t for everyone; it takes a lot of patience and commitment. Getting fit won’t just happen overnight. It could take six months to possibly even a year. People also stay fit for different reasons. Some people do it for their appearance while others do it to stay fit for the sport they’re playing. And for some people, it is their job to stay fit or to help other people to get fit.

A good food to eat after a workout is steak with potatoes and a protein shake. This protein filled meal helps regain and rebuild all the muscles that were broken down during the work out whether it was cardio or weights. A good thing to do during a workout is to drink lots and lots of water. It keeps the person working out hydrated, and it keeps the fluids in body constantly flowing giving a better turn out from the workout. Being healthy is very helpful in life as everyone knows, but it has to be taken very seriously to get the results that are wanted.
