New Stars Assistant Director: Alina Mitchell
This year Clements welcomes one of the many new additions to the Ranger family. Alina Mitchell is the new assistant director for the Stars Dance Team. She received a B.F.A from Sam Houston State University and a M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She taught dance and cheer at her previous school and is now here to be apart of the Stars family.
However, this adjustment didn’t only affect Mitchell, but her family as well.
“Not only did I move to a new school and district, I also moved to a new city,” she said. “Although there was a lot of change over the last few months, I wouldn’t change it. I love Clements, Stars, Twinkles and Dance 1 students!”
Upon her arrival, she says that she knows that the Stars “is a very established team,” but believes that they can take their abilities to the next level.
“There is always room for growth and the potential is high for the Stars,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell says that her favorite thing so far about being the assistant director is “how positive and welcoming the entire team has been.” She says that they “work extremely hard and it shows when they are either out on the football field or on stage.”
Although Mitchell is “extremely committed” to her work, family, and friends, she “loves to laugh, be silly, and even set up a few pranks.”
The team is grateful to have their new addition and there are high hopes for the dance team this upcoming year.
