Sugar Land begins traditional fall events

As the leaves begin to fall and the air gets cooler, the city of Sugar Land prepare for its hauntingly, wonderful Halloween traditions and much more. See what fun, community activities you can be a part of this month:

 

Fall Round-up

Kick off fall the right way and visit the George Ranch Historical Park with family and friends on Saturday, October 7th at 11:00am for the first showing and again at 2:00pm for the second showing of the annual Fall Round-Up. As the people of George Ranch say, “put on your best Stetson” and join them in an amazing cattle drive experience.

Barnyard Bash

Join the Regal Ranch family on Friday, October 13th from 6:30pm -10:30pm for an evening full  of homestyle food, music, and dancing. All the money raised will go to vital programs and services designed to give people the proper mental health care that they deserve.

Movie Under the Moon

This month’s “Movie Under the Moon” is Frankenweenie. This is a free outdoor event so bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs to enjoy the movie on Saturday, October 21st at the Sugar Land Town Square from 7:15pm – 9:30pm.

Haute Halloween: A Dueling Piano Experience

Come out to the Sugar Land Town Square from 7:30pm – 9:30pm on Friday, October 27th for a “Dueling Piano Experience”. Come ready to sing and dance as “Felix and Fingers” cover all your favorite requests from Frank to Hank, Elton John to Lil’ John, and everything inbetween.

Haunted House

Join the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land from 7pm–10 pm in their annual Haunted Houston on Friday, October 27th, 2017 and Saturday, October 28th, 2017. Step into the museum after hours, and enjoy the chills down your spine as you walk through dark, haunted house.

Tricks, Treats, and T-Rex

Bring your mini ghost to the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 from 10am to 1pm for family fun filled with carnival games, trick or treating, a pumpkin patch, face painting, crafts, costume parades, prizes and more! It’s sure to be fun for creatures of all ages.

2017 Fall Fest & Auto Show

Come out to the Club at New Territory on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 from 9am-2pm for the 2017 Fall Fest & Auto Show. Spend the day enjoying live music, games, petting zoo, rides, food trucks, exhibitors, a display of automobiles of past and present, and more.

Halloween Town

This year’s Halloween town will take place on Sunday, October 29th, 2017 at the Sugar Land Town Square from 4pm-8pm. Come dressed in a costume and enter Halloween Town’s costume contest. Join the town in fun games and activities planned for the whole evening.

Ghosts and Grub

Ghosts and Grub, like the years in the past, will take place in George Ranch Historical Park from 6:30pm-10pm on Monday, October 31st, 2017. Join the park members for dinner and then take part in a candlelight walking tour of the Park to hear ghost stories from the past and some of the ghostly encounters told by the staff over the years. Be sure to bring walking shoes and a flashlight because the tour covers about a mile of land.
