It’s time to sign up for the 6th annual Brent Event! This year’s celebration will be held at Sugar Land Memorial Park on Saturday, October 8, and will feature a 10K, 5K, 1 mile walk, Carnival, and Kids Dash. Come join the fun as we run/walk for cancer patients!    The Brent Event Foundation was organized in honor of Brent Weaver, a Clements High School graduate who died of cancer in 2011. The foundation was set up to ease the financial burdens of cancer patients and their families, and 100% of the proceeds go to individuals fighting cancer. Organizers say this is a great opportunity for your club or team to have fun while supporting a good cause. Students from many area high schools have a great time participating in the awesome event. Please contact me for a group rate if your team or club would like to sign up to run or walk together.  The planning team  also needs volunteers.  If a club would like to volunteer for the event, go to signupgenius.com and enter the email [email protected]to access the sign-up lists. Students can Ms. Wong, in the attendance office, to sign up to volunteer. Students will receive YES hours for volunteering or participating in the event.
