Global Issues Summit set for April 16

The CHS Global Studies Academy will host a Global Issues Summit on April 16 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The goal of the summit is to help turn awareness into action.  It will outline five major areas to be improved by 2030: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership.

The event will be a globally oriented conference challenging people to think about issues that extend beyond the boundaries of this community.  Guest speakers will include Laquitta DeMerchant, Misa Nguyen, Nicole Minor, Marty McVey, Naren Chavda, Alimassi Toto, and Ethan Crowell.  Performing will be Kathleen Nguyen, and the Houston International Folk Dancers.
