Got problems?  Sure, everyone does.  But, are yours seemingly too big to overcome?  There is a new way to help cope at Clements.  The new initiative, Humans of Clements was begun last year with four video episodes.

Students in PALS, Stu  Co, and CTV have teamed with counselors to attempt to offer help and advice to students suffering from problems such as stress, depression, and other issues.

“We all have problems,” said CTV producer Bailey Barnes.  “And this project may not solve all of them, but it is a way to let other students know that they are not alone. Even if we only reach one per cent of the student body, that is still 20 people.”

Humans of Clements  airs once a month on CTV.  In the segment, students read stories from actual CHS students and discuss possible help and solutions to their problems.

The first segment aired on Dec. 11, and the subject was sleep and how students deal with the lack of it.

“With the holidays upon us and semester exams looming in the not too distant future, everyone’s stress levels are naturally elevated.  We hope this will help just a little bit,” said Bailey Battelle,  producer.

Students are now  able to drop off their stories anonymously in drop boxes  located in both bathrooms in the English hall.  They can also email the stories to [email protected] where their anonymity is also protected.  The Humans of Clements team will choose the stories to be aired.

Viewers can look for the next segment during September.
