June kicks off summer fitness

Abby Gutierrez, Editor In Chief

CHS is ready for summer as the athletic sports teams and coaches prepare for their annual summer fitness program for student athletes who want to stay in shape over the summer. This program aims to keep students exercising and healthy over the summer to ensure they are ready for their seasons in the upcoming year.

This program is led by the schools team coaches and is a six week workout on Monday through Thursdays. There are three different sessions in the morning to be a part of, which are all held at different times in the morning: football session from 7:00 am-9:00 am, high school boys and girls sports from 9:30 am-11:30 am, and middle school session from 12:00 am-2:00 am.

Registration is now open and will cost $100 for the entire six-week workout.
For more information, Coach Bobby Darnell, the athletic director located in the CHS field house, is available to answer any questions and concerns about the program. This summer intensive will be sure to prepare any person to develop the necessary agility and strength to be ready for their season to come.
